The " GenderEquality in Science Education" conference organized by ARSTEAMapp Project(Partner project of SDC23 ), Women Science Teachers and  Korkmaz Yigit Anatolian High School was held 27 March 2023. IşılHasdemir, General Manager of Dell Technologies -Turkey, Dr. Fatma Caner(Marmara University) and YaseminAltınsoy, founder of Kidory Digital Story writing platform, gave information about STEM activities, technological developments in Turkey and the world, opportunities in technology professions for high school students and became excellent role models for our female students. We would like to express our gratitude to our guests for their support.

"To be a female teacher in pandemic times "

The COVID-19 pandemic put gender inequality in the global spotlight. Women and girls have suffered disproportionately across key indicators, setting back decades of work and investment towards gender equality. How did we  lead for change ? 
As a female teacher, what   did we do in pandemic  period, how did we overcome on this period ?

Dear collegaues, we talked about these topics in  " To be a female teacher in pandemic times" meeting held by  "Women Science Teachers .

This event was intended for educators, primary school teachers and secondary school teachers.

NTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT 2021-meeting.j

We also organised a lecture about stars . Prof .Dr. Faruk Soydugan gave this lecture to "Korkmaz Yigit Anatolian High School" .Prof . Soydugan  gave information about stars, planets, constellations, black holes.

The broad theme of light will allow many different sectors of society worldwide to participate in activities that demonstrates how science, technology, art and culture can help achieve the goals of UNESCO – education, equality, and peace.

 WST celebrated birthday of Marie Curie at 7 .11. 2020  . And, for next years, WST  decided to celebrate  the 7 th  day of November  as "Women Teachers Day"

WST participated in GIRLS in STEM Meeting in Brussels /2017. Gender aspects continue to play an important role in science education, conditioning study choices or shaping beliefs about one's own capacities and those of others.All participants shared their works about Gender Equality in his/her countries.

WOMEN SCIENCE TEACHERS was introduced  ın  PERFORM CONFERENCE / PARIS -2018

WST visited  Saniye Güler Corat  (Director for Gender Equality -UNESCO)  at UNESCO. She was the pioneer in making gender equality a global priority at UNESCO in 2007. She is a senior executive in international development with over 25 years of field experience in over 30 countries.
WST also participated in Perform Conference with our projects.
