WST was one of the partners of the session "Education and Sustainability in the 21. Century : The Role and Future of Technology" at the Science Summit UNGA79 organised for the 79th general assembly of the United Nations. The session took place on 17th September 2024 at 07.00-09.00 (Online). We would like to thank to our great speakers, Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu(Tübitak,Ulakbim-Türkiye), Giuseppi Mossuti(European Schoolnet- Belgium), Lawrence Houldsworth(OECD-France), Christina Makarona(Scientix-Belgium), Yaela Golumbic(ECS- Belgium), Fatma Zeynep Özkurt (Nişantaşı Üniversity- Türkiye) for sharing their valuable experiences with us and DeclanKirrane for giving us a place at the Science Summit UNGA79.

WST was one of the partners of the session "Gender Equality in Science Education" at the Science Summit UNGA78 organised for the 78th general assembly of the United Nations. The session took place on 13 September at 09.00 at the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in New York. We would like to thank ReyhanÖzgür, TurkishConsulateGeneralinNewYork for hosting us, DeclanKirrane for giving us a place at the Science Summit UNGA78, our speakers for sharing their valuable experiences with us, and our guests who attended our session and accompanied us.

STEM DISCOVERY CAMPAIGN2024

"Women Science Teachers" was one of the partner organisations of STEM Discovery Campaign 2020, 2023 and 2024 held by Scientix. From 2020 we organised compettions, meetings, activities for rising gender equality in science education.

From February2024- May 2024,WST organised competition, conferences, workshop e.t.c in 4 countries .

Workshop: "AI&AR Experience"(Romania), Codeweek (Greece)

Experiment: "Art inSpring", Erastothenes Experiment" (Türkiye)

Museum Visits: 15 museum visit in Türkiye

Projects : "City of TROY", "From Clothes to Rugs", "Sustainable Clothes" , "3D&AR in SDC24"(Türkiye)

We reached from 10 countries, nearly 9000 students with our events.THANKS to all participants who supported us .

WST, science education community for Gender Equality, promotes and supports collaboration among STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) teachers, educational researchers, policy makers and other STEM education experts. Since 2014, WST has been pioneering the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of STEM Education through its portal, events, professional development activities and networking activities.WST Ambassadors help share WST activities at national level and play an active role in supporting innovation in STEM education in their countries.
